Who Am I?

Poetry finding new life as music, and the first chapter in the Lioness Zen recording story.

Behind the Song

Who Am I?

A poem written in 1996. A question of identity. And, decades later, the first song that gave Lioness Zen a singing voice.

Years later, those words found melody. That history makes the song a natural first release: the poet truly did come before the music, and the first poem became the first chapter of the Lioness Zen recording story.

A Lioness Zen Signature

Every song has a doorway.

Some songs come with a true backstory. Others begin with a feeling you may recognize, a question, a memory, a moment when love, loss, hope or identity suddenly becomes personal.

Soul Petals Beneath the Snow

Have you ever sensed that someone carried feelings they could not quite bring into the light?

Soul Petals Beneath the Snow lives in that quiet territory, the truths tucked away, the tenderness protected beneath the surface, and the hope that what is hidden might still find its season.
